About Blacandwight

To note that our new streetwear brand Blacandwight is a spin off from a collection, is an amusing idea. Basically, we could call it an experiment.

How so? sometime last year we decided to answer to the request of ready-to-ship from our existing bespoke customers.

We began by accepting the designs usually requested as a screenshot.
They could do this because of the already existing trust from the bespoke section of the brand, using a feature available on the website for submitting designs you want sewn.

To make it a bit simpler, we decided to design and produce a limited collection.

Here, our target was to make things we actually would like to wear ourselves, as well as things that felt close to our already existing clientele.

We presented the collection wearing it ourselves and showcasing it on our personal social accounts.

“We weren’t sure, so we tried out on our personal socials instead of introducing the new designs directly to the brand because we are most known for our corporate fashion.”

The experiment started yielding some orders from our social circle and all limited pieces got sold out. So we tried again, this time we told everyone we had a collection coming based on a our lifestyles; Based on what we can wear. This time, request from already sold out pieces were still unfulfilled, so we suggested the new pieces as an alternative. 

The new pieces which gave rise to our new brand; an all inclusive streetwear brand- BLACANDWIGHT.

Today, we  are launching out as an extension of a dream coming from our community; a community inspired by freedom, to continue to be a tool for self expression and an inspiration to each other. We are driven to be inclusive with no judgments.

Where we are headed?

The collections under this category would remain as limited editions for the foreseeable future. We hope to continue to collaborate with our users and other members of our community in our future designs. We hope to make this category a reflection of the values within our community.
